| Nother Newb Hey, Fisherfolks! Just stumbled across this forum & while I haven't gotten past the log-in & intro yet, I will... My GF & I live on a small lake in Rensselaer County in Eastern NY & tho I don't fish as much as I'd like to (for varied reasons), I DO get out a couple of times a month... Still fish the (mostly) way my Grandpa taught me - nightcrawler & spinner, but I have a couple of tackle boxes full of assorted plugs & jigs & stuff... Don't have a real costly set-up, just an Ugly Stick with an open-faced reel. I have a couple of Mitchell 300s layin around, but the Ugly Stick works for me... Our little piece of paradise has 15 varieties of Freshwater (doh!) fish including Smallmouth & Largemouth, Chain Pickerel, Black Crappy, Bullhead, Rock Bass, Yellow & White Perch & Blue Gills & Sunnies... Anyhoo, glad to be here & hope to learn from & share with ya!     |
