| Hi all I have been fishing all my life (game fishing)gave up for a few years but have just started getting back into the water due to my 10 year old son who hasn't quite got the patience for trout fishing but bought him a starter course outfit and took him out last weekend with me muddling through on my old game tackle lol I have never been course fishing before and after the first couple of hours being 8 - 0 down to my son finally caught a bream about 1lb a little later caught 1 1/2 lb common carp and on my trout rod (which i thought was fun cos it gave me a hell of a scrap) AFTER YEARS OF KNOCKING COURSE FISHING THOUGHT ......Hmmmm I like this  a little later had a bite and struck into a fish that gave me the best 10 mins of fish fighting i have ever had and landed a 13lb mirror  ...needless to say I am going again  but i think it will take me a year and a day to learn the different techniques and tackle and dont know of all the fisheries and canals in my area which we can fish in many thanks for reading mike     |
