new to folkestone beach fishing

hi i am new to sea beach fishing and just wondered can you fish any where on folkestone beach. and any tips would be usefull as never tried it before.

Hi Murdoch,

Welcome aboard.

Normally you can fish anywhere on a beach although sometimes there may be restrictions for one reason or another. Your best bet would be to approach other anglers on the beach and ask them. There may be members of the Forum from your area that can help you, I live in Dorset and personally don't know the area that you wish to fish.

hi murdoch welcome to the forum,
you have some good fishing at folkestone,what i know as the rotunda beach is good but can be a little snaggy,
folkestone pier is a reliable spot as is the warren ,
if you want to travel a few miles dont forget sandgate and hythe to the west and deal and dover to the east,
your options are endless

we are going to hythe on sunday so i will let you all know how i get on. it will be my first time beach fishing.

i believe you said you were going to hythe,well hythe fishes best when there is a bit of a swell running,its not the best venue in a flat calm,having said that not many venues around here are that good at the moment,the sea needs a bit of colour in it,a good stir up will do a power of good,
the crabs should be peeling soon and that will help

unlucky on the blank murdoch , but you will be learning so much with every trip now,before long you will be hauling them in
