Hi Roger welcome to the forum I am also PAC member and mainly fish for pike .I am from England originally but now live in the West of Ireland. I mainly use baits but am trying more lures as sometimes they seem to prefer lures especially when the water warms up.

Yes thanks for the welcome. I did do a lot of deadbaiting but giot fed up with just sat there awaiting a strike, so I got myself a jerkbait rod and some jelly lures and gave it a go. Now a member of the lure angling society, different type of fishing agin. Small bag over shoulder landing net etc and just walk the bank not a care in the world casting now and again to seewhats about. good bunch of memebrs and lerning all sorts from them. Bit costly in relation to the top of the range gear etc, but there is bargains out there.
