Hi I usually shore fish in and around Devon and Cornwall usually on the south coast, but occassionally go up to North Wales to visit Relatives, and would like to shore fish in that area. I have been fishing for several years now but have not tried Wales. So Any help would be appreciated.

don't know what it is, but not many people seem to reply to north wales posts. but i'll give it a go. I've fished quite a lot in north wales, mainly anglesey, colwyn bay, conwy etc and you can pretty much rely on a few small flatties, some whiting and in a month or so rays coming in.I always end up with a few hounds as well. I always favour squid, live rag and
lug (or a cocktail of all 3). I am up in anglesey this weekend probably round the treaddur bay area and will post how I do. I am also looking to get a few people together on a charter from holyhead a bit later in the year.. let me know if you are interested.

Thanks for your warm welcome looking forward to using site a lot. I also like to collect my own bait if at all possible, so will try what ever I collect and when I am in North Wales will let you know how I get on, hope to be up there in 2 or 3 weeks.
