| pike fishing Ireland Hi greetings to all I am new to the forum . I mainly fish for pike from boats with lures and baits on the large loughs and lakes in the West of Ireland.     |

| Re: pike fishing Ireland Hi Blackwater , thanks for the welcome ,I do quite a bit of fishing at various places on the Shannon,when you say hot water stretch do you mean the stretch at Lanesborough? I have not been on the Shannon since before the cold spell but I am intending to get out on it again sometime later this week and I am hoping the levels will not have gone up too much with the recent heavy rains. |

Yea thats the place i am talking about, i havnt been down since last easter and i wasnt impressed, we only had about a dozen tiny perch for a long journey, also while i was there, there was few foreign nationals who came down and caught a few perch and filleted them on the concrete embankment infront of everyone also they had there bottle of vodka intow with them  . It was rather annoying to see them coming down and destroying the fish stocks in such away just infront of everyone and showing no remorse. By the time they had left they were staggering about .
