Hello all Hi there. New to the forum, (and to fishing!) I picked up a rod last May and enjoyed a really good summer of coarse fishing, mainly for carp on commercials. Now it's winter and I'm trying hard to catch anything! (without much luck!) on river or canal. Any advice is much appreciated Cheers Chappa

Re: Hello all Welcome Chappa. I haven't coarse fished for a coupel of years, but in this type of weather I would use bread, bread & bread. punch & liquidised on the canals (seem to remember little bridges being good fish holders). On the rivers I used to chuck out a feeder with a big lump of bread on the hook. Soft blue cheese (stinky)moulded into the bread was a killer for chub on some sections. Good Luck __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:>

Re: Hello all Thanks everyone. Now bread's one thing I haven't tried on canal or river yet, thanks for the advice. No time now though, two days work and it's off to Thailand!! Cheers Chappa
