| Hi, Amadeus here, joined a minute ago. I have only, at the age of 57, just started fishing. In brief: Fishing fanatic chum took me to Tenby and I fished for the first time. Awed by it! Caught a 5lb Dogfish (bloody mate threw it back and I wanted to eat it!!!) and a 2lb Turbot which went from sea to stomach in less than two hours!!! Currently using a Shimano Power Loop Specimen 12 - 75 (donated by Tenby chum) and a Precision bait runner carp reel (reduced from £50.00 to £8.00!!!!!) and have been advised to use Daiwa Sensor black 12lb line, but have yet to take this set out (I borrowed mates outfit in Tenby) and would love some advice as to what and where at this time of year. I live in Newport, Gwent. Thanks in advance, Amadeus |

| Re: New member says hello and appriciates advice. Welcome to the Forum Amadeus. Plenty of good sea fishing on your side of the Bristol Channel. Should be some Codling showing soon... __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
