Talking 10/0 You're extracting the runny stuff

By Jesus, my size 10/0 O'Shaughnessy hooks arrived today.....

This has got to be a wind up surely?

Are you lot trying to make me look like a monkey?

Next time I need hooks like these I'll go to my butcher and ask him for the curved steel thing stopping the dead deer from hitting the floor. Seriously troops, I saw Matt Heys catching a 2,500 lb white shark with one of these hooks and you're telling me that we're using them to catch cod hopefully in the double figures?!?!?!?

You guys are crazy man, are we gonna call ourselves the "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" crew or what?

Oh well here's to it you bunch of mentals

Cool Re: 10/0 You're extracting the runny stuff

Hi Andy G,

Thats a seriously BIG hook mate, Even when Tuna fishing we only use 10 - 12/0 sure its a short shank game hook, but they still catch em up to 600lbs plus.
I'll get the skipper in Ireland to send u some rubber squid and we can troll em over the back of the boat, u never know!!????

There aint as many beads on it as that blokes in the sea angler this month!
Have had a re-think... dismantled and new rigs made, cut down the number of muppetts to 6.

Re: 10/0 You're extracting the runny stuff

i thought the same thing when i went into the tackel shop to buy hooks, f**k me those hooks are big were my thoughs
i got pennel rigs n IOW rigs with size 10/0 n 8/10 meat hooks on
i got laughed at when i went into another shop to see if they had any, they said i didnt need any bigger than size 2/0, i told him the people on here wouldnt lie to me, would they
its ok though, i will be taking some whiting rigs with me as well i think, just incase the cod dont wanna play
