| hi all just joined wondered if anyne has any idea about cod fishing in norway was thinking about taking a trip there in march with 3 mates . no good fishing left in ireland we have been to wexfod 5 times this year and cought very little fish .any ideas thanks in advance.     |

| Re: hi all hi doug.thanks for your welcome maybe you could give me some info on norway at the moment were just taking a look at it and putting together a price .the place we seem to come to agreement on is called hellesoy in the north west of norway.also do you think we should bring our own gear and lures or just hire out there?also we were thinking of hiring a boat for a day as iam sure the skipper would be able to get us some decent fish rather then just taking the boat that comes with the cabin were thinking of getting . your help would be appreciated. |

| Re: hi all Hi David, I would take your own gear - EVERYTHING is expensive here.(beer £10 pint, fags £8 etc) Yes go out with a hired boat as the waters around there can be really dodgy if you don't know the area, also obviously, a local skipper will know where to fish. Be prepared for some harsh weather conditions.
