Hi all

I started beach fishing with an uncle when i was a 5 year old and started freshwater match fishing just after. I left shore angling for 4 years in the early nineties (getting a bit depressed with the results) and spent some time tourney casting and carping.
Got back into the beach again about ’97 and have enjoyed it so much i packed up all the other fishing about 6 years now.
I usually fish between Deal and Dungeness once a week, more on holidays and when i can, usually at night and in 6-8 hour sessions. (I am lucky that within that range i can have a good time)

Even in 42 years of angling there are always things to learn, things to do and personal goals to achieve. Last year it occurred to me that i had never caught a ray off the shore. That done now, the only thing i can think of at the moment is a nice smoothy. (I will be trawling the forums for hints as soon as i post this

Is it a bit late this year now?)
