Hi all hope your fishing has been good. I Recently discovered that I like fishing, really into my fly fishing been doing that for about 2 years, however the esox monsters are calling my name, I have done a couple of stints deadbating (after a lot of research) really worried what I'll do if I actually catch a big girl but have kitted myself out to look after such a beast and return it no worse for wear I hope, would enjoy meeting any Nottingham people who pike fish just to pick some brains and make sure the fish are safe? Anyway thats me look forward to talking with you all. ![]()

Re: Another newbie Welcome aboard Pat. Good luck with the Pike hunt. If you've not fished for pike, i'd definately advise that you use semi-barbless treble hooks & take some good long forceps / pliar's for un-hooking. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...

Re: Another newbie Thanks a lot for the welcome and advice greenheart (be interested to know why you chose to name yourself after the wood used for seaside breakwaters maybe its the durability factor? Thanks again. __________________ Stick your head in a bucket of water and see how long you last, Get em out get em back.
