Just started to check things out here, looks like alot of good info. could be in here. In a nutshell, I am from Minnesota (MinneSNOWDA), and enjoy fishing in the summer and look forward to my first year back ice fishing since I was a kid. Now it is my turn to try and pass along my "skills" to my own 2 children.

Due to everything going on at once, I haven't been out for a couple of months. But from what I hear, the fish are starting their fall pattern. The weather this summer has been mixed up to say the least, and that REALLY has thrown a curveball into fishing here.

welcome to the forum fishermn,strange you mentioned ice fishing,i saw a guy ice fishing today on tv,he was in norway trying to catch arctic char with what looked like a little 18 inch plastic rod and reel,it looked great fun,is that how you do it in your neck of the woods ?
