Wink Sea fishing

Hi All I come from India, live in a small place called Goa. I have done a lot of sea fishing from shore, rocks and a little from boat. At present am working in Germany and fished for Zander, Pike, Sturgeon, Trout and Red Perch but miss
Sea fishing. Hope to do so sometime next year.
Bye for now,
Joaquim Rodrigues

Welcome to our humble forum salamander........where abouts in Germany are you?

I'm German myself, living in the UK. Would be interesting to hear how the fishing goes over there.

Welcome to the Forum Joaquim, I've been to both Goa & Germany, both are great places, but I think I preferred the climate in Goa. I have done loads of fishing in Germany, but never had a chance to fish in Goa. I did see some large fish in the surf at Anjuna, but never did find out what they were. I shall definately be taking some tackle next time I go.

Hi Richard the beach fishing in Goa can be fun if you know where and when to
fish. I have been fishing since I was a kid and did catch some really big woppers. Sting Rays can be had from the beaches of Goa from August to September, early mornings and just when the sun is setting. Bait used is Squid as the rays seem to like this bait the most. As for Germany I did a bit of fishing with dead bait, wobblers and spinners it is fun but not so much as sea fishing. The next time you are in Goa try wobblers in the evening if lucky
you could catch Barramundi or Snapper. Till next time " Tight lines"
Joaquim

Hi Greenheart, nice to have someone who has the same kind of sport. The large fish you may have seen at Anjuna could have been Indian salmon or Barramundi both chase bait fish like small sardines and other smaller fish. The next time you are in Goa carry some light tackle as well as line size 0.35mm and if possible one braided line 0.25mm, try fishing with Wobblers in the evening near any of the Estuaries in Goa. Till next time.
Joaquim
