Newbie...Cornwall

Hi guys.....great forum and looking to pick up lots of tips here.

Totally new to fishing after a fishing trip with mates a couple of weeks ago onto Loch Tay in Scotland. Did not catch anything but kept my head up and looking to carry on my new hobbie back in Cornwall.

I have been out a few times down here now sea fishing and still looking for my first catch. Just need to find some good places to go. I am only spinning at the mo.

Hi s1mmo440 good to see another fisherman from cornwall, I,m from mevagissey i,ve been fishing about 8 months now & picked up a lot of tips along the way.cought so far this year 4 bass, 2 rays,mackys lost count,1 pollock,3 scad. garfish, had a great summer so far.All on the south coast near mevagissey.Where do you live in cornwall? all the best martin .

Thanks for your welcome guys! I am near Camborne (No jokes)!!!.......

Camborne is about 15 miles from Newquay where the fire was.

From what I have read it looks like Mevagissy is a good place to fish, will have to take a drive up.

I spoke to a guy last week,He said that her had been catching a lot of bass other the last faw weeks, at hayle on the beach .Hope this helps martin
