Mottfish is on a distinguished road
G'day all.

Hello folks, joined the forum the other day and thought I'd say hello. I've been fishing (freshwater) for about 3 years (only using the old float!) I thought I'd join the forum to learn a few tips, techniques and generally improve my knowledge for greater success!

I live in Bristol and generally fish at Bristol docks, the feeder river place, and Bullock farm for those who know the area.

Can any1 recommend a peaceful, easy to fish lake around the Bristol/Somerset/Gloucestershire area? Whats the 'Plantation lakes' like?

Thanks.

Re: G'day all.

Welcome aboard mate - this might be a bit far but they have two match lakes 100-300lb winning type way ins or the carp lake which is very good fun and the fish are well looked after - you will have to dip your net and mat before fishing and if you do not hacve a mate you cannot fish.

Only down side is its full on weekends and is only open from7am til 8.30am but during the weekk fish it weds - fridays and you will have lots of fun with the carp >> Carp fishing bait and rig change Tirley Court

Re: G'day all.

Thanks people, will have question a plenty to ask you!

FFA, will be going to explore lakes in Gloucestershire as I've read about a few nice looking places, so will have to check it out while I'm out there.

Thanks.
