Deep Beaches

Well, i generally know the NE sea fishing scene quite well, but me and my dad wer totally stumped today when we planned a trip next week to go cod fishing off a deep shingle beach. we planned on staying from 10ish to around 2 in the morning but all we could think of was horden! where is there more of them?? advice welcome 9deep shingly beaches and the like)

you could always try lynemouth mate.that seems to be fairly deep off the front of there, possibility of some cracking fish as well.

could also try craster as there are some parts there which are deep
