hi to you all ive just joined the fishing forum and just wanted to know if anyone was fishing the open on sunday ? as like me most of you are still undecided about where to fish trying to get information of who,s caught what and where to help decide where to fish not much happening anywhere at moment so it will be a case of pick your spot and try your best . just like to say if your in the water youve got as much chance as anyone so to all you see anglers out there i say good luck to you all its a case of right place right time .just enjoy the day . castalot gy .

Welcome to the forum mate,i m not fishing it mate but i m from where its being held(withernsea)
I was up at the weekend ,speaking to one of my mates theres not loads about,a few coddling with the odd bass around,
I would have thought the winner will come from the usual places,Dimlington,spurn rd,ringborough etc.
Old hall in the river can always throw up the odd decent cod although it may be a bit early for the river.

well had a great day fishing didnt catch anything but met a few old friends got some great tips ,and was taught a new casting method which put another 40 yards into my casting range won twice on the raffle at the weigh in , didnt take home the 3 grand prize but what a day my best friend came 28th with a codling and won a rod bag a fellow member of our local club won the top prize with a skate of over 7 pounds to him i say congratulations as i do to all those who won prizes and comiserations to those who did not but i think a great day was had by all . castalot gy
