i am staying in robin hoods bay at the moment which is about a mile from boggle hole and was told in the tackle shop about a 19lb cod caught there, i would fish there but i am too much of a tiht git to loss all the tackle

Just got back from a days fishing on the pier at Blyth. Nice rough sea, with a S/E wind. Started with rag/lug with a mackerel tip. Only managed a Flatty and a Coley. Had 1 peeler from the last time out, stuck it on and landed me first 3 1/2lb Sea Bass, well chuffed . Pity I only had the one. That was caught about 20m before the bend. Talking to the lads at the end of the pier, there were quite a few codling taken, but still quite small. They were starting to get a bit bigger as I left at 16.30. Would have loved to stay till dark, but had me laddie with me and the cold was starting to set in. All the best to all you Anglers in the N/E . First time I've been on this year. ANDY A
