Hi, could you put me straight on one thing. What does UK regulations say about catching seatrout and salomon in the sea. For instance, if you happen to get one when you are fishing for something else like Mackerell? Is it a season when you can target seatrout at sea?
In sweden you are allowed to take any fish caugth in the sea or in the largest lakes at any time of year as long as it is above the minimum length for the specified speices, I think it's 35cm for seatrout.

sorry bjorn not too sure on regs, fairly sure you have to return unless hold a game fishing licence, sure theres something on the envirioment agency fishing web site(but wont open at mo for me)worth checking

Ok guys lets be really honest here....

If you were out fishing for lets say Bass and accidently caught a sea trout who would truthfully put it back?

Now remember i did say lets be honest.

What would you do pinochio...

you would be forced to take it home so that you could identify it, byt the time you had identifyed it and you wanted to put it back the poor fish had died and fell in a frying pan
