Re: Tide time for mullet? over the years dan i think i have caught mullet during most states of the tide, they are often seen on a rising tide in very shallow water picking up scraps as the tide makes,i used to scrape little hollows in the sand and mud ,fill them with mashed bread and when the tide came in the mullet would not be far away. as for using toast, well as far as i'm concerned the whole attraction of bread flake for a mullet is the little pieces that continually come off,are you suggesting toast because you are fed up with the bread coming off the hook ? instead of bread you could always use maddies,a couple of them on a size 12 hook are often irresistable to them. i have seen a guy have success with spinning for mullet,he used a small perch spinner and baited the hook with a small piece of rag or maddy and spun through the shoal. whatever happens dan, keep persevereing and best of luck

Re: Tide time for mullet? The tide time depends on the place your fishing, the mullet will travel with the tide so they will go up estuaries as its flooding and out wen its ebbing. __________________ New site! sea fishing devon

Re: Tide time for mullet? Dont knock it until youve tried it lol, fed up with bread coming off in a strong current area, i thought i would use toast !!!!!! well well it worked, if the fish are feeding they will take it, granted ,not as good as bread flakes , but like anything i tried it and i caught !!!!!!! cheers lee. __________________ A MAN IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL HE IS MARRIED, THEN HE IS FINISHED .!!!
