Re: Any signs - mullet ?

Hi Pete,
Congrats on joining the NMC...have you found their discussion forum (Chelon Labrosus) yet ?

Been the best April I have ever had.....plenty of fish showing although the main spawning shoal is due to arrive about now. I've been getting plenty of sub-adult fish (3-4Lb) and a few adults; that either didn't spawn or have arrived early (unlikely).

It adds weight to the theory that individual fish don't spawn every year.

Good luck for the season

Sunny

Found the Forum and responded to your post - thanks for the info
Mullet now here - feeding in shallows in very tight shoals of up to about 20 fish at a time
Hooked and lost one - will be back there later in the week

Re: Any signs - mullet ?

They are here in numbers now - the ones you see feeding in the shallows are uncatcheable but I had 4 and a seatrout yesterday on the ledger
