| Small Mullet We dont see any under about 2.5 lb up here (Scotland) - where do they spawn and grow up to this size do you recon ? |

| Re: Small Mullet Pete, You will probably find that the spawning shoal foir your area is near the Isle of Man; which will be an offshore mark. They are an open water spawning species and the juvenile fish will head for the nearest land; most probably attracted by the scent of freshwater (entering the sea from estuaries). Adult fish will migrate over longer distances in the summer. It is why the Dutch only see large adults; with the juvenile Mullet staying around the southern North Sea; Thames Estuary and north kent Coast. Hope that helps |
