| Re: Mullet Rig Quote:
If you havent that info then you must experiment...ie put out the float with lead attached then increase or decrease as necessary, as to depth this can vary from anything from 6inch to a 12 foot depending on what depth the river /estuary is, you can forget the bubble floats at extreme low water and just fish a running ledger rig say with a two ounce lead and 6lb florocarbon trace. punch in running ledger rig and a diagram should appear to give you good clue of what i mean. tight lines! |

| Re: Mullet Rig When I'm mulleting I use a half full bubble float about 3 or 4 inches above the smallest swivel I can find, with a 3 or 4 foot length of 6lb fluro to a size 10 carp hook. Then pinch a bit of bread around the hook eye and float this on the top. I only really want the bubble float for casting distance, not as any sort of bite indicator. They'll drive you mental mind.... ![]() __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait? |
