| 7Lb 3oz...Happy It’s been a good day… a great start to my specimen hunting. I had hoped that the warmer weather would have the larger Mullet entering the shallows and so I’ve been devoting myself to recce trips; searching some regular haunts. Yesterday was the first real sighting of anything worth chasing with a fish in the 5 pound range, but the tide was literally in the last 5 minutes of this venue being fish-able. Last year I lost an awesome fish at this site after playing it for 15 minutes. After that it produced a few 6Lb fish but nothing like the one lost. So it was on my hit list for a visit this year. I dashed home from work today, grabbed my kit and hot-footed it to the venue. It was perfect conditions and the take from the fish was positive….. a cracking play before she finally came into view and a lot better than I was expecting….7Lb 3oz ……RESULT ![]() |
