| Ive read alot about mullet enjoying a ground bait thats full of fish oil and other such greasey ingredients, i thought that dyanimate baits Marine Halibut pellets made into a ground bait with bread might pull them in and get them feeding? ive got alot of this kicking about from carp fishing last summer. also would a mullet take a hair rig the same as carp? ive been told that float fishing is better but ive got some predrilled 8mm pellets that would be simple to use... Any thoughts? ![]() |

| Re: just an idear? Marine Halibut pellets the pellets ground down into a crumb do work... i personally prefer to use a mackerel flesh bait as a hook bait but mackerel aint that readily available fresh like they used to be so i tend to use bread alot more now... you could try a hair but i doubt it would work....a mullet picks up the bait in his lips and he will sit there juggling it around looking for the slightest unnatural thing before he will consider swallowing it! small pieces of bread lightly pinched onto the hook is the way to get them...i do find that i miss alot more bites using bread than i do with fresh mackerel flesh though ![]() __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
