mullet, do they cook well, iv'e never eaten one, iv'e heard folk say "aaaah do eat mullet their scavingers they'll eat awt" in the same sence as i wouldn't eat a trout caught near the outlet pipe of a sewer.

but they do look good so do they eat good

they do eat well,when i was a fishmonger mullet was very popular with my customers

fillet them and don't forget to scale them,similar to bass in my opinion

I know someone who used to use mullet as a bass substitute in a restaurant - aparently no-one spotted the difference!!! ;-)
