Suitable freshwater gear....

I read carp rods and other freshwater rods are good for mullet fishhing, since you need lighter gear. I have a very light fresh water float rod (10') with a small sea fixed spool reel. Do you think this is too light??

Thanks guys!! Do think my light 10' f-water float rod is right for sea spinning with a dexter wedge lure etc for mackeral and bass???

Same sort of set up i use , forum member devondave goes even lighter , not sure how light but he enjoys the mullet fishing on the gear he uses
