can you catch the mullet from shore?? because they only seem to be in little places where you like sit on the edge and fish with coarse rod (can;t think what it's called) so is there any actually possible to catch from the shore? :?

Golden Grey mullet are caught from the open shore, but not many around south area i dont think.
Also i have had a couple from Hurst shingle bank close in.

I had about three or four last summer not in one go.
Caught em on rag about twenty to thirty yards out.

all mullet are caught mainly from the shore

not many people fish for them in a boat

by that place do you mean a harbour?

any one who likes mullet should try warash in the summer on a still warm evening
there are 1000's in this lagoon thing which you can see swimming about
havent managed to get 1 yet, gonna try harder this year
dad had 1 on a red gill

Loads of bread ground bait and bread on the hook is what i have been told.
I caught a few at Cristchurch harbour on baited spoons spinning for em.
