Hello mate,
If you are fishing for the thin lipped mullet i would surgest fishing a spinner baited with
some maddies fished about 2-3 foot behind a bouble float and trot it round in the tide mate!
it works for me down here and i find that this is the most popular tacktic down here
Hope it helps mate

Re: shore mullet

Lots of people say that float fishing with bread is the best way to catch shore mullet. But I have caught several just with sandeel.

Re: shore mullet

I would suggest the bigger they get the harder they are to catch on any baits! except during February in Alderney! They probably eat mackerel flappers on wire traces on Alderneys beaches! Considering the method to target them involves 15lb mainline and a pulley rig!? Ive often wondered why the mullet arent as shy / fussy in their waters? Could it be that during the mullets spawning season (winter) they feed more freely perhaps.. - but unfortunately we dont have a winter fishery like the channel islands
