I'm not the only one then!!

Sad, but nice to hear that there are other sea fishing lovers miles away from there beloved shores, I'm based near Miton Keynes and don't get to the coast too often but love it when I do. Any tips on the closest, good, not too difficult venues for a novice.

Thanks

Fieldy

Fieldy,
Try the Bedford Sea Angling club, they do a lot of shore and boat fishing and are close to you. A Google search ought to turn up their website.

Not the only one Fieldy. I'm in Leighton Buzzard and enjoy a day out when free.

Like you I'm a novice. I've tried Poole and Eastbourne but generally I must pick the days when the fish are on their hols!

I'm looking to take a trip to the coast on 12th November when hopefully something will take my bait. Where's a likely spot at that time of the year?

Re: I'm not the only one then!!

You think your too far away to sea fish,...find a map of U.S. and look for Omaha, Nebraska. But when I read threads of guys going out in 14' boats with 8' swells, I kinda wonder if my rivers and reservoirs arn't just fine for me. Sea fishing sounds like great fun, chumming w/breakfast doesnt. LOL
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to reading your posts.

Re: I'm not the only one then!!

Thanks for all of your replies, I'm going to try somewhere around Deal on the 8-9th November unless anyone's got any better tips. The Bedford Angling club sounds like a good idea, I'll check that one out. Drew, you say I get around, you don't know the half of it!! Hopefully bump in to you all some day on a beach somewhere.

Cheers

Fieldy
