| Re: beach fishing norfolk area Welcome to the forum ![]() Best baits round here seem to be baby squid, rag, lug and peeler crab (although I've only ever caught eels on them) Rigwise I just use simple 2 and 3 hook paternosters. Best places in my opinion all depends on the time of year you want to fish. In summer Cley, Weybourn, Cromer and Overstrand for mackerel and big bass. Feathers, rag and squid really work well (fish down the pier legs of Cromer pier for the big bass with a BIG squid bait) In winter I prefer Cley, Pakefield, Kessingland or Yarmouth north beach. Lug, squid and rag for cod, whiting and a few flatties __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |

| Re: beach fishing norfolk area sounds good Norfolkboy is there much fishing round hunstanton, and if so when do think is a good time to give it a go? ive only ever done sea fishing once ( when i was about 5!!) and i dont have all the proper gear (which might mean i cant). ive got a half decent carp rod which might do it i hope . but i want to give it a try.or do it seem like a recipe for disaster. (i know its an old post ) |
