Advice sought, rock n beach fishing Mexico

I am going to Mexico for 3 months soon and will be living in a little coastal town called Mazunte *far south pacific coast*. I plan to fish from the beach and rocks most days and need advice on what sort of gear I should bring, what type of Lures, line and strength ? reel ? will I need wire traces ? hook sizes ? baits to use ? etc etc.

Also what species and sizes can I expect to hook into from the rocks ? I have tried looking online but every thing is about big sport fishing, which I will be doing but not as often due to financial constraints. Will also be coast fishing in Guatemala and belize during the trip.

Hope you can help, all and any tips welcome.

Sounds awesome. Would recommend braid for lure fishing 20lb depending on species a wire trace. Lures would be big bright and makes a noise. Rapala do some great lures.

Of the beach expect barracuda!
