Re: first car

My first car was a 1964 mk1 ford escort 1.3. It was two years older than me and I loved it to bits. I had it for three years before I had to give it up. On the way to the scrap yard I remember one of the back wheels passing me in the middle of the road! Thought to my self that wheel looks like one of mine and then the car just pulled to one side and stopped.

Re: first car

Hi Ben,

Looks great and I wish you many enjoyable hours with it.

I had a mini van for a few years that I used for carrying my fishing gear. I gave a Russian a litre bottle of whiskey for it. It looked fantastic until I found that half of it had been filled with Polyfilla mixed with Galvafroid paint. I eventually patched it up with fibreglass and resprayed it, but the pleasure it gave me was worth every minute I spent on it.

A removable roof rack with a couple of drain pipes will transport your rods.

Happy motoring.

Drew
