Re: first car

First car I drove regularly :- Renault 5 campus (Ex girlfriends car)

First car I owned :- Honda CRX ESI targa top. RIP. Written off whilst parked, by a youth on a bike who promptly got up and rode off. If you're reading this, I hope you broke both your legs. God, I loved that car.

Rich.

Re: first car

Hi All,

My first car was a 1934 Wolsey Hornet with, according to the original handbook, an "Electronic Anti-Dazzle device". (Dip switch)

It was originally used to take the Starter at Newcastle Race Course from the paddocks to the starting gates. I found it when I was working at RAF Bulmer in the early sixties. It had been left in an old barn on a farm. After I cleaned it up and turned it over by hand a few times I managed to start it, and with a little bit of care over the next few weeks I put it on the road.

Unfortunately not long after I got it going I had to leave for South Africa, and reluctantly had to give it to the chap who helped me renovate it.
However that's life.

Cheers

Drew
