| Re: first car DevonDave. I just cannot even imagine my dad having the patience to ever give me lessons or even practise, hope you appreciate him. Course it all looks different when you are a dad, I absoutely am not teaching either of my two lovely daughters to drive. All the best with the learning.  |

| Re: first car Omaha, just read the tag. Couldn't agree more. There's a saying that goes along the lines of "if they always hit they'd be called hittiles and not missiles." An old cliche I know but how many of us get more from NOT catching and learning from it than catching with no effort? Regards to our friends over the pond.  |

| Re: first car well he's had me doing 3 point turns (on a road to narrow to do it!!!!) even he couldnt do it :P reversing around corners.. which i mastered very quickly.. not done parralel parking yet but ive reversed into spaces between 2 cars at supermarkets ect.. he says i have excellent clutch control.. however i drove back from the carp lake the other day.. stalled at the 1st set of lights... got going again and come off the clutch too quick all the way up through the gears.. then stalled at the next lights.. then restarted went to pull away and done it again... needless to say i spat my dummy and and have beaten myself up about it but practice makes perfect and im still confident i will be passed by my birthday.. (sept 3rd) watch this space lol __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |

| Re: first car well if you was behind me the other day when i drove home i appologise lol! yes kev must be.. i think cos it was the first time i knew i was going to be driving on main roads ect (every other time he has sprung it on me) i was to concerned with people behind me ect and kept coming off the clutch to quick in an attempt to get going quicker and not cause problems for ppl behind me! __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think! |
