| Re: Wine making Look on Free-Cycle for demi johns. People throw them out all the time. Also need a fermenting bucket. These guys are pretty well priced. www.the-online-homebrew-company.co.uk Airlock is needed to stop the alcoholic flies getting in your wine. One little fruit fly and you have a nice batch of vinegar! I know from experience! Most importantly is hygeine. Buy good wine makers steriliser. If you mess up with the hygeine you will be dissapointed. Pick your own fruit. Blackberries may just about pickable due to the none summer we had. 5-6 lbs per 10ltres. makes an amazing rich red wine. Plenty of info on the web.Good luck. Rose hip is good but a pain to pick. Lovely wine though. If you can get apples from somewhere they make a very nice drink too. Always try Freecycle first -you will be amazed what you can pick up for free. One of my didgeridoos is from freecycle and it is an original aborigine one posssibly 50 yearss old --price - around £400,- normally. Freecycle free!! |
