| If I'm not fishing I religously watch the formula one on a saturday/sunday. Even if I am on the bank I will catch up on the iplayer. I have always been impressed with the BBC coverage but todays announcement of shared coverage with sky has p**sed me off .What a joke, it's about time the licence fee was considered a subscription for BBC which could be opted out of. The only things worth watching are F1 which is leaving and Top Gear which can be watched a couple of weeks later on Dave. Personally I wont be subscribing to sky, it wouldnt be so bad if F1 could be watched in the basic package but upgrade needed for sky sports then further upgrade needed for HD. I may be cutting off my nose to spite my face but I'm going to boycott the BBC coverage also as a matter of principal, I would rather read about it in the newspaper the following day. Bernie Ecclestone only claimed a couple of weeks ago that Britain was the home of F1 and it was vital that coverage remained on a free to view channel surely a deal could be reached. The amount of money F1 generates for our economy surely the government could have helped somehow. Perhaps all of us who save up all year to visit Silverstone should not bother and see how Bernie feels about loosing what is most important to him, (other than extremely tall women) money! |
