Exmouth seafront! NOT a night to be fishing!

Out in a boat? Ummm, I wouldn't even fancy being outside of my car! As this video shows.

Got it about 9.30 this evening a good hour before high tide and before the light faded! Dread to think what it is like about now....

Re: Exmouth seafront! NOT a night to be fishing!

All that salt water on yer car mate!!! That'll take some hosing down! Not to mention the chance of a brick sized pebble coming with it!!!

Was watching the Exmouth web cam around 21:30 tonight and saw the waves breaking over the wall... High tide wasn't for another hour either!! A 4m spring tide pushed in with 35mph Southerly will do that.... The Otter was massively flooded last night.

Yeah, considering how much of a tart I am about my car, I didn't really think about the salt. It is raining still so that should wash it off overnight.

Going to be about 11am isn't it? I could walk out straight from work and see what it is like as I work on the end of Alexandra Terrace.

Not expecting the wind to create such a storm surge as tonight though.

lyme was fun, fish quay underwater and still 1 1/2 hours of flood to go
not a blank either, but quit soon after,
left 2 hardy souls still fishing into the harbour from the shelter of the leanto's beside the aquarium with sheets water breaking over the cobb wall
