ray hunter is on a distinguished road
western solent

As I mentioned in my previous post I picked up a Feel Free Corona Last weekend and finally got round to launching on Friday,
Friday was perfect so put it in at the huts at calshot for a little paddle with the wife.
Saturday we came back but had quite strong wind so we put it in round the back of the spit and managed to dodge the windsurfers.
Sunday we were back again! and had 18mph sw wind so again launched behind the spit and this time I had picked up a grapple anchor from lymington so practiced dropping the anchor (good practice with wind!)
Had a great time so broke it out again and launched at hythe marina slipway at low tide we paddled out to the pier and anchored up and fished for around 10 minutes but then had to give up (the mrs was cold) Had a couple of bangs in the few minutes it was in the water so looks promising for later.

Anybody else fishing the western solent via Kayak?

Cheers
Mark
