| Southsea in the dark on the Kayak 25/5/9 Nice spring tide, nice calm flat seas - can only mean the blocks again  Fished 1930 - 2330 (went home early cos is pi$$ed down and the lightning scared me  Fished the first few hours in daylight - plugging/lures over the blocks - zilch nil pwun ... Switched to rag & peeler at dusk and into darkness ... Had bucket loadsa fish - Smuts, Dogfish, Pout, Bass - nothing to write home about but all reasonable size ... I paddled about 1/2 mile against a spring 4.8 last night and that was hard work and but the currents run parallel to the shore so I just point and paddle like mad Try and work with the tides/currents to make it easier but if you have a big tide drop - when you get back - the tide is out so a long walk or vice versa on launching ... all very technical A whole new world ... __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps !
