Switched to rag & peeler at dusk and into darkness ... Had bucket loadsa fish - Smuts, Dogfish, Pout, Bass - nothing to write home about but all reasonable size ... Splendid lightning show towards the Nab but coming my way & rain - so went home ![]() __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps ! | Re: Southsea in the dark on the Kayak 25/5/9 Well done Rob - plenty of sport there.... A quick Q about Kayaking. Do you always travel with the tide (in or out) to save on paddling, or sometimes have to paddle like hell to make little progress? __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

I paddled about 1/2 mile against a spring 4.8 last night and that was hard work and but the currents run parallel to the shore so I just point and paddle like mad ![]() Try and work with the tides/currents to make it easier but if you have a big tide drop - when you get back - the tide is out so a long walk or vice versa on launching ... all very technical ![]() A whole new world ... __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps !
