Dingle Co Kerry 6th - 10th February

Two keen uk fisherman visiting Co Kerry Between 6th - 10th of February. Would appreciate any relevant catch reports. Would be keen to meet up with a group for a boat trip or day in the surf. Any help on venues would be of great help.

Cool Re: Dingle Co Kerry 6th - 10th February

Welcome Billy Bass

I have fished Ireland regularly for some years. Last trip there boat fishing was for Blue Fin Tuna, but also chartered a boat from Baltimore last year.

All i know about Dingle and Kerry is there is a lot of Bass caught there when surf is up and best baits are Lug, Joey Mackeral, Whole Squid and live sandeels.

Good luck and hope you have a fruitful trip.

Re: Dingle Co Kerry 6th - 10th February

heard n reports of how it is going in Dingle but here on the Beara Peninsula there are plenty of bass around chasing sprats. Fish to 8.5 lb taken on shallow diving lures. Early morning has been best but you can pick up faih at any time. Not tried them with bait as they seem fairly preoccupied with the sprat and those caught (and returned) have been full of them.
Good luck on your trip, I hope the weather holds for you.
