New Bait

Hi all,

I intend fishing in Youghal for flounder, and want to try a new bait, mackeral wrapped in squid. I was wondering if anyone else had any sucess with this bait ?

not for flounder, usually worm or small crab bait here

have tried for ray with similar tho

Hi Ray,

Not that I'm vastly experienced, but I have used sandeel wrapped in squid before. I can't even take credit for the idea, I think it was Simon from Torbay who used to frequent this forum that came up with it.

The reason it is effective is that the squid jacket prevents the crabs from ripping the sandeel to pieces. It does work as well.
