 The Old Wellies Dangle in Dinlge!! Hi guy’s, Me and the Wellyfish are off to Ireland a week tomorrow for a one week stay on the emerald isle.  We are staying on the famous Dingle Peninsula and from our bungalow window we will be looking out onto some famous Strands (beaches). The Finglas River is a stones throw away and Lough Gill 10 mins by car.Non stop fishing night and day is planned….but do we have the stamina? I have but does Welly…  We also have a couple of days out on a charter boat  if it gets out to sea of course.  Potential species…Painted Rays, Small eyed, Sting Rays, Thornbacks, Bass, Flounder, Dab, Ling, Conger, Gurnards (Grey Red and Tub), Turbot, Garfish, Mackie, Bull Huss, Wrasse, Sea Trout, Salmon, Brown Trout.  So in between decorating I am going to have to tie up some rigs and stuff. Most of my gear is packed already…nothing like the anticipation of potential Specie hunt points to get the adrenalin going!! But with the boat rods beach rods bass and spinning rods oh and my fly fishing gear…sea trout and salmon….I think I need to hire a trailer!  Of course Welly and I will post up a report on our return…..we may have sobered up by then!!:i   Cheers Shaun     |

Me thinks that everyone else on the species hunt might be playing catchup before long............ I predict 25 species between the two of you in one week.... Anyone gonna raise me on that? Thing is, how many pints you ya reckon they'll get through? Or are the two predictions inversly linked? Tight lines fellas. Rich. |
