The desire to experience catching trophy fish on both the Atlantic and Pacific has become the prime lure for anglers. Our desire is to offer flyfishing trips to remote areas on the Caribbean coast that have a more traditional method of tarpon fly sportfishing costa rica involving sight sportfishing costa rica and casting to cruising or feeding tarpon. It is a tough bet to fly fish for these species but it can be done with success. Our small lodge on the Caribbean coast is set in the jungle with howler monkeys waking you up at dawn instead of roosters. We fish the ocean and the rivers in the less crowded waters near Parismina for small to world record size tarpon. The Pacific coast holds world record sailfish and marlin as well as roosterfish and a host of other tackle busters. Both sides offer some unique jungle experiences. The west coast has more choices for luxury accommodations. Fish one coast or the other or if you can't decide try both with a week or longer trip that allows you to sample the best of both sides!



After checking into the local cabins, we have lunch before beginning our afternoon fishing with 10 or 12 weight rods and sink-tip floating lines, using large Whistler or Clouser pattern flies in Yellow / Orange, Silver White / Blue and Orange / Black.

If the conditions are suitable, casting large poppers can result in some very exciting surfacesportfishing costa rica as the hooked tarpon usually jump a lot more in the shallower fresh water.
