Hi everybody!

I did already my presentation in general forum and allready put a post in the Saltwater Fishing Fórum. Sincerely, I did not felt that was interesting for the members, maybe the kind of fishing, the fish, the bait, the way I´d wrote or the local I´d use in the fórum where not the best!? Realy I don't know!

Althougt, I,m going to try again to have your interess!

Well, I´m living in Setúbal, Portugal and I have my boat in Sines (East
Atlantic Ocean), place where I do my fishing every weekend the weather let me do it!

I do deep water and Jigging and I look all the time for Sea Bream and other fish, generaly persuing trofees.

I let you the photos of the last two seabreams I caught, one with sardine and the other with alived maqueraux.

Hope you're interested, and ask about any thing you want! I ashore you, I'll answer to all the questions you want to put over any mather about this kind of fishing! Maybe I'll take my time, depending how tecnical the questions will be, but you can be shore I'll answer you!

If you ask me something, I'll feel myself at home for sarting comunication about fishing with you all and for shore i'll have questions to you, trying to learn more and more!

For example, if you do this kind of fishing? Speaking about hooks, rods, reals, knots, technics... I don't know? There's a world of knowhow around there!

Hopping I'm not boaring you all!?

Re: News from Portugal!

hello there!

Tank God! This people answered me! I,m Jooking!

Soo! Lets go step by step!

Anwsering Maghouse!

About táctics I'm preparing some posts about it and I'll take some time, trying to adapt at the English language! For that I need to know how do you call to the parts where you suport the hooks! The line, you suport the other lines where you put the hooks and the weight, witch take the bates to the deep! If you do this to me, you'll spare me a lot of work! This thinking about fishing with rod, shorely! This seams to me a estupid demand!!! Will see!

About catching this kind a fish from land? Yes, it hapenings around the east coast in certain places, normaly where the rocks are over more than 10 metres deep, not so fare, where you can launch your weight with the bates on!

Good months for that, normaly are: end August to end of December!

I can tell you about this places if your interested!

Anwsering The Boss (I think the name is Richard)!

Ok! Soo you are comming to Praia da Oura, witch mean Oura's Beach!

I know there's a lot of boats to rent for fisnhing, I,ll try to know what's best and what kind of fishing they do this time of the year!
I think most of them will do deep fisnhing with stoped boat, and you can catch nice fish! I,ll try to search for you the better I can!

If you bring rods, search for 3,00 to 3,60 metres long, Feeder tipe, with diferet actions pointers (hope you're understend wath I,m saying) and rels between 4000 and 8000, vertical ones!

Lines around 0,35/0,40 to the reel and to lines where you put the hooks! You can do it thinner if you prefer! When i,m speaking about 0,35, I'm thinking about a medium sise! The rest depends if you like to fish thinner or not and what kind of fish they will take you to catch! But in this time of the year, I think that will be enought!

For better understending, the fishes I'd show you in this topic, where catched with 0,41 ASSO FLUORCASTING! I don't sale it! Just use it! Lolol

Soo, I'll do my search and topics and I'll be here soon!

Best regards!

Ernesto

Re: News from Portugal!

Hi there!

I'll try to be the faster and as clear I can!

This is the kind of Rig I use when fishing the seabream

The mainline will have two snods, separed from eachother around 6,5" (1,60 metres)! The snods are atached to the mainline with the swivels I show you down.

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...torcedorFI.jpg

Have a look at the swivel size! (the up and down are just like you see it in the photo, and the snod is atached to the acoplated swivel in that position)

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...mDEstorcFI.jpg

Each snod is around 3 to 4" (0,75 to 1 meter) long, between swivel and hook!

I'll show you now the hooks Hayabusa Pró-Value

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...ls/AnzisFI.jpg

Tell you also that the mainline is 20lb and the snods line 15lb tested, more or less! The BIC ligther is the bigest (lol)

Now I show you the baits!

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j.../IscadasFI.jpg

The two in the left side are sardine and two in the right side are maquereaux, all very fresh!

I'll give you now the weigts, witch will be atached with a thiner line 1" (0,254 meters) long, to the down ring of the down swiwel! This line will brake in case the weight got it self stoped in de rocks!

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/j...humbadasFI.jpg

Well! Isto late to explain more now! I think that you'll have questions! We'll talk about it tomarow or the day after!

Realy hope you understend! lol

Best regards!

Ernesto
