Ex-pats

As a way to kick this international section off I thought I'd introduce myself here to, and wondered if there are many other ex-pats or international members on the site... I'm Alan, as the name suggest, live in Lanzarote and I'm relatively new to see fishing... (only option on this island!) :)

If the UK is that bad then you should be called " AlanLanzarote ". Otherwise we may think you a bit homesick

It's not that bad - don't hold with a lot of the cr*p ex-pats spout. Just a more relaxed way of life for me...

hi im james. originally from the garden of england and now doing the same as alan but just hop and step away from him in gran canaria.

just starting in beach fishing as well as i catch anything i will post. Just as a warning to any othedr ex-pats living and fishing in spain i have found out through a work collegue you need a liciense to o any form of fishing here its about 30 euros for 5 years if caught without it you can lose all your gear on the spot.

I live in Thailand, and when given the right time and place, the fishing here can be AMAZING. Expat from USA here...

Hi all
Neil here i am in the NW of France and have been for the last 11 years and NO i would never go back to the UK.
I love my life and work over here Fish farmer in the winter then sea fishing in the summer as a way to relax.

Kev here, down in Slovenia, Have been out of the UK now for 5 years and just love visiting different countries with work and fishing loads of different rivers, lakes and coast.
