| A load of Pollacks Dont about you, but I get confused with Pollack & Whiting. I always understood Whiting to have teeth & Pollack to have a protruding lower lip .... What are these ones then : ![]() I'd say a Whiting but had no obvious set of nashers ... Then this one : ![]() I'd say a Pollack as a protruding bottom lip .... and this one .... ![]() What do you reckon guys - there are points on this as all fish were caught this year ! __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps ! | Re: A load of Pollacks The first one is a whiting. Underslung lower jaw and spade-end tail. The other two are pollack, protruding lower jaws, larger eye and concave tail fins, but unusually pale colouration. Steve |

| Re: A load of Pollacks mad, never seen one that light. but looking at its shape id say bottom 2 are pollock. if id caught it i would not have noticed it was a pollock due to it been so light in colour, good spot cheers john __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif |

| Re: A load of Pollacks Might be the flash on the camera making them brighter ? I am going with Pollack - as said - the concave tail & protruding jaw does it for me .... still not easy to spot these tiddlers IMHO ! __________________ SUPPORT THE RNLI - click : www.rnli.org.uk ... every little helps ! | Re: A load of Pollacks As already said, I'd go with: 1 - Whiting 2 - Pollack 3 - Pollack __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |
