all gurnards " walk " on the sand ,they use their pectoral fins to do this,
not sure why they do it,searching for food perhaps ?

the flying gurnard to my knowledge is not native to these shores

Found this from 2004 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...icle400240.ece. Maybe I will give the Blue Reef Aquarium or National Marine Aquarium a call tomorrow to see if these beautiful fish have been found more recently in Cornwall.
