The second image is not a Grass Carp (of any size). The scale pattern is all wrong, as is the mouth. The colouration as described is also very indicative of an Ornamental Koi (cross). Probably dumped in the lake because it's worth to a collector is minimal (as it's "contaminated"!). There are far too many lakes and ponds now with just about every conceivable variation of the carp family. Not good for true carp fishing. But, whatever, they can provide sport throughout the year and will liven up the quietest day!
